kidney presentation by Anab Adde

Our kidneys are like I phone, no better then iPhone because iPhone needs battery-charge and internet and we have to pay money   monthly. However, we do not have to pay and will not pay money for our kidneys, and it’s free. iPhone is a man-made material which is not perfected but  God  created our kidneys, and  they are perfect.

kidney (part of human) will do presentation about  what kidneys does.

The kidney says we are two pair of organs that are found on either side of the spine, just below the rib cage in the back. Renal artery is 1 of the blood vessel leading off from the abdominal aorta, which is located in the abdominal section of the heart's major artery, and go to the kidneys, and blood is removed from of us (POH) and returned to circulation through blood vessels called the renal veins. The inner portion of each kidney contains an area called the renal medulla. Each medulla is composed of structures called renal pyramids. The renal cortex spreads between medulla regions to form sections known as renal columns. The renal pelvis is the area of the kidney which gathers the urine and passes it to the ureter.   kidney says, “oh I forget about  inferior vena cave carries deoxygenated blood lower half of the body.

The one of the audience ask. What is the nephrons job?

Nephrons are responsible for actual filtering of blood, and Nephrons extend through the cortex and medulla areas of the kidneys. A nephron consists of a glomerulus, which is a cluster of  capillaries  , and anephron tubule that is surrounded by an additional capillary bed.

The filtered waste and extra fluid from the nephron are passed into a collecting tubule, which guides the urine to the renal pelvis. The renal pelvis is continuous with the ureter and allows urine to drain to the bladder for excretion.

Kidney Function.

When blood volume is high, ADH release is inhibited. The kidneys don't retain as much water, thereby decreasing blood volume and increasing urine volume.

Kidney function can also be influenced by the adrenal glands. These glands produce several hormones including the hormone aldosterone. Aldosterone causes the kidneys to secrete potassium and retain water and sodium.

The efferent arteriole carries blood away from the glomerulus.
