In the reading of “Nuclear Transplantation, Embryonic Stem Cells, and the Potential for Cell Therapy” by Konrad Hochedlinger, Ph.D., and Rudolf Jaenisch, M.D. It talks about how and why “reproductive cloning” does not work and if it does there are problems with the clone. Such as medical problems or birth defects. They did testing and research of cloning on animals and the clone died or had defects. Also it says a main reason of losing the clone is due to the reprograming part. It says there is a “1 to 3 percent of cloned blastocysts develop completely” Which is a very low chance almost no chance at all.

I like the idea of stem cells because they are life saving for medical treatments. They can help your loved one continue on living from a serious disease. Stem cells are found in the adult tissues.
