Lab 11 Cancer Cure

a.) Where would you look specifically to find a cure for cancer?

Testicular Cancer, aka "malignant neoplasm of testis", is one type that scares most men for obvious reasons. It is the most common form of cancer for men ages 15 to 44. (testicularcancerawarenessfoundation.org) Luckily this type of cancer is considered rare, "less then 200,000 cases per year in the U.S.. The best news is that if its detected early enough, it is over 95% curable (cancerresearchuk.org). First things first, get a proper dianosis and even a second opinion from a referral of an Oncologist. This can be done via physical exam and/or ultrasound are the most common. For me personally, I would go with whatever the doctor recommended because I would not want to take valuable time with natural remedies when it could still be spreading.

b.) How would you go about finding a cure (Layout your detailed plan)?

Although for this type of cancer it may not be recommended to go for the surgury right away (removal of the testes) , as that could cause the tumor to spread faster. The most important part of your treatment plan could be finding out the stage of the cancer. After the doctor was final about the diagnosis of what type of cancer, they would find out what stage either through blood tests or a CT Scan.  I would want to start first with the two different therapy treatment options; Hormone Therapy and Radiation Therepy.  I would next go to chemotherapy if the prior treatments failed. I would really not want to do this type as I have seen what it does to people. But, If it saves your life, it of course would be worth it (in my opinion).
