Cerebral Palsy
Cerebral Palsy is a “disorder that cause the loss of normal motor function.” This disorder is an neurological disorder. Which makes the body not work correctly. For example the muscle movement is stiff or your child is not on the right track as others their age.
Cerebral Palsy “is not hereditary.” It is a “brain injury or brain malformation that occurs while the brain is developing before, during or after birth.” Some cases the child never will be able to walk. 75% of people with this disorder have pain. You will have trouble drinking and eating. Some people have a harder time learning. BUT there are some cases where the person is very smart and have a normal functioning brain they just don’t have a body that work the way it should.
You cannot treat cerebral palsy, but there are ways and things that are out there in the world to help make life easier for the person with cerebral palsy. The life expectancy is around 30-70’s.
