Bursitis is the inflammation of bursea sacs which are located near bones, muscles, tendons and joints. When they become inflamed it is a painful irritation. Can cause disabling pain and leave joints motionless if they get too out of hand. When looking at bursitis it would be a swollen joint and red. It would likely be caused from trauma to your hip, elbow or knees if you look at the data.
You can treat some cases of bursitis with simple over the counter anti-inflammatory. To be able to get a full diagnosis you would need to scan they area infected, if it is something that wont go away on its own there are injections and removal surgeries. It seems like a minorly painful but simple solutioned ailment.
There are no major statistics for this disease. As far as I can tell youre likelier to get it as you grow older no matter race or gender. Jobs where you are hard on your body, muscles, and joints will increase your risk. And overworking yourself can make things worse.
