Pneumoconiosis also known as black lung disease.  is the general term for a class of interstitial lung diseases where inhalation of dust has caused interstitial fibrosis. This disease is considered to be mostly a occupational lung disease. It can come from exposure to dust from occupations such as mining, It causes restrictive impairment. The effects are the lungs have difficulty expanding the lungs which can cause lack of oxygen.

Symptoms can include cough chest tightness, and mucous in the lungs. Shortness of breath and feeling winded are also some of the symptoms of this disease. Coughing can cause a lot of scarring which can also prevent oxygen from getting to blood.

risks include:Asbestos fibers, Crystalline silica, Coal dust, these when a person comes in contact over a length of time should contact their healthcare provider if experiencing any of the symptoms above.

There is no cure for this type of disease/ medical treatment. But it is important to get a check-up from your doctor who can give you an x-ray. In the x ray they can look for inflammation, or fluid in the lungs.
