ORGAN HISTORY OF SPLEEN

The spleen is something you can live without. “Galen identified the gall bladder and spleen as the two crucial subsidiary organs of the liver”. The spleen is located in the “lymphatic system” which is the largest organ in the lymphatic. The spleen looks like a fist, and it varies in size. The spleen has many jobs. “It acts as a filter for blood as part of the immune system”. The spleen also fights off bad bacteria that can end up turning into pneumonia and meningitis. The spleen removes the “abnormal red blood cells” and “clearance of microorganisms and particulate antigens from the blood stream”.  The spleen can burst and its very painful and it’s not good for your body when it does burst it could cause death.
