kidneys

kidneys structure

Kidneys are the most significant organs in the human body.  The kidneys are a couple of bean-formed organs present in all vertebrates. Their job is to remove waste items from the body, keep up adjusted electrolyte levels, and control blood pressure. The kidneys have located the back of the abdominal, with each one sitting side of the spine. The right one is smaller and lower than the left kidney. The kidneys are weighed 125 to 170 grams in males and 115 to 155 grams in females.  There are several pyramid-shaped lobes inside the kidneys. Each of the lobes consists of the outer renal cortex and an inner medulla. Nephrons keep these sections, so that urine producing the structure of the kidneys. Kidneys use 20-25 percent of the heart’s output blood. Also, they excrete urine through the ureter to lead into the bladder.

kidneys Function

The most important job kidneys do inside the body is to maintaining homeostasis. That means they control fluid levels, electrolyte, balance, and other factors that keep inside the body to feel comfortable.

Kidneys get nutrients from the blood and pass the other organs of the body to support health. They reabsorb products to help homeostasis, such as glucose, amino acids, bicarbonate, sodium, water, phosphate, chloride, magnesium, and potassium ions.
