Silicon's has the atomic number of 14 and has the symbol of SI. It has 14 electrons, 14 of neutrons as well as 14 protons. It's atomic mass units is estimated to be about 28.086.
Silicon's chemical behavior is considered to be un-reactive due to it having a high amount of oxygen. It's found that it has the highest melting and boiling points after the element Boron, at 1414 °C and 3265 °C.
Silicon is considered to be one of the useful elements due to it's importance of making up the Earth's mass 27% only after oxygen. Silicon's material is the basis for making silicones, the oil made from Silicon can be found in hair conditioners as well as cosmetic products, and various "waterproof sealants".
