Lab 1- ARGON

by Matthew Iverson

Some facts about the structure of this element: It has no known role in the natural world. It's atomic number is 18 and its mass is around 35. I don't know what these things mean yet but I'm putting the info on here all the same.

Argon is a colorless, odorless gas, that is also inactive with all other substances. There is a lot of it to go around as well, it is the third most lavish atmospheric gas. The levels of this gas on earth are rising because this particular rock we live on creates this gas as it decays.

Argon is used mostly for wielding to make the other metals not oxidize. It can also be used to protect the area where you are wielding. It is used in the process of making incandescent bulbs as well as CFL and florescent bulbs. You may also use it in double pane windows in between the panes as well as tires of some high end cars to lessen road noise.

Good! Maybe a better image of the actual atom...
