The article named "How could biotechnology improve your life?" on the World Economic Forum says that "
One of the most promising hopes in the substainability field is artificial biosynthesis, a process whereby living organisms, such as bacteria, fungus or plants, are used to create fuels, chemicals and other materials."

Personally, I agree with this opinion and I'm optimistic that biotechnology will help us address the energy problem in some sense in the future. We have seen great success of biotechnology application in many fields such as chemical field and medical field. New chemicals and effective drugs are produced with lower cost with the help of genes from some creatures. Besides, researchers are devoting effort in developing gene editing technology which is also a promising field in the future. We can imagine how biochnology will improve our life from many aspects. In agriculture, biotechnology will help boost crop production. Genetically modified crops can grow much faster and produce more. In healthcare, biotechnology will help deveop new and effective drugs and may provide new ways of doing surgery. Sometimes having surgery costs a lot, especially for a normal family. While with biotechnology, the cost of having surgery is promising to drop a lot.

To summarize, biotechnology is a hopeful field both in research and industry in the future and I'm on the positive side for this field.
