Lab 13: Biotechnology impact in the future

HOW BIOTECHNOLOGY IS IMPROVING THE HUMAN BODY - IMCS

I believe biotechnology will impact my life in the future in major ways. I have strong faith in that. I feel this way because I think things will only progress and get better with it. Not only do I think it will be a major impact on my life, but on the whole entire world. Science is expanding and seeming to get better and better benefiting people and what people need. In the what is biotechnology article it says, ” In modern biotechnology, researchers modify DNA and proteins to shape the capabilities of living cells, plants, and animals into something useful for humans.” To me this means it can only get better. Now I’m not saying perfect, there will always be kinks to work out but as time goes on I feel like these processes will only get better and become even more useful.

I look forward to the future and what biotechnology can do for all of us and how it advances. I would love to see a cure for cancer in the future. Not just cancer but all incurable diseases. I often think what my future will be or even my kids. I have lost many family members to cancer and a few other diseases. I often think how will my life be different in the future with the existence of these diseases. Will there be a cure? Will there be something that helps people live longer? New Treatment? The article also talks about how long it has taken researchers to figure out certain things and how they work. I know it could take forever to find all these cures but I think with the way technology is going it will be done sooner than later.
